What we do

The Electrical Wholesale Directory is an independent, free-to-use directory. We catalogue electrical wholesaler branches across Australia and organise them three ways at once: where they are, what categories of product they stock, and which brands they carry. You can start from a suburb, a category like cable or switchgear, or a brand like Clipsal — and land on the branches that match.

We list and route — we don't sell

This is the line we won't cross. We hold no stock and take no payment. When you find the right branch, you deal with it directly — call, visit the trade counter, or use its own website. Our job is to get you to the right counter quickly, then get out of the way. That keeps our incentives clean: we're measured on whether we sent you somewhere useful, not on a sale.

The category and brand wedge

Most directories only answer where — a map pin and a phone number. That leaves the question every tradesperson actually asks: who near me stocks the thing I need right now? We index each branch against the categories it covers and the brands it carries. So we can answer "where do I buy Clipsal in this part of town" or "which wholesaler near me does EV charging gear" — the layer a location-only listing can't reach. That's the difference we're building around.

Where we are today: live across Australia

We grow the directory honestly — real branches, real counts. Right now it covers 1382 branches from 588 wholesalers across all 8 states and territories, spanning 14 product categories and 14 brands. Coverage keeps expanding as we verify and add more branches — the architecture is built multi-country-ready from day one; the data is what grows.

How we keep it trustworthy

We're upfront about what we know for certain and what we infer. Core branch facts — name, address, phone, opening hours and Google rating — are verified at source. Product categories and brand lists are usually drawn from what a banner carries, not a per-branch stock check. So we label them as such and tell you to confirm specifics with the branch.
